As published around the ‘Net in December 2011, LG’s rebranded S855 smartphone is expanding its service provider horizons. Known as the LG S855, the LG Majestic or the original name of LG Optimus Black, the LG Marquee S855 is a CDMA device that will not work on any GSM network around the globe, despite its local marketing nickname.
It has more to offer users than a plethora of rebrandings and an ultra-low, price tag of $29.99 US at Radio Shack (aka, The Shack), though. Let’s take a closer look as this cheap mobile phone spreads its e-wings from Sprint and US Cellular to Boost Mobile.
Overview
Erase the Sprint logo, and the Boost Mobile version of this smartphone is pretty identical to the other branding models.
The full touchscreen display still brings decent resolution and brilliant display lighting, aiding screen visibility in the bright sunlight.
Expansive social networking support is a delight to many users, and Boost Mobile subscribers will find a satisfying variety of choices for direct access. Of course, the tethering allowance doesn’t hurt either.
The very manageable dimensions and weight are neither difficult to hold nor to operate, adding a high degree of comfort for users, which is always a good point for manufacturers to instill.
